I am always SO SO excited when the Lilly of the Valley show up in the spring. Their perfumed presence always makes me so happy.

I am trying to develop a daily practice of drawing that is free of strings.....meaning that at times I let fret and worry about if what I am doing is a good use of time, efficient, whether or not this sketching will be useful for something in the gallery or in designs, direct what I am making....THAT is not a good way to work. Inspiration comes in many forms and can be the result of a quick doodle. So, today, I spent the morning working on a little painting drawing of a few flowers from the yard.
